Project Overview

The project comprised the design, management and construction of a, BREEAM Excellent rated, four-storey (plus basement) Primary Health Care Facility (3,300m²) in the SA1 regeneration area in Swansea.

The first three storeys are concrete frame with a steel frame on the fourth storey. The new facility is home to two NHS Medical practices, the ABM University Health Board Services, the Swansea University College of Medicine, a Dental Surgery and a Pharmacy. Many services normally provided at local hospitals have been relocated to the new facility such as the Warfarin Monitoring Service and Muscoskeletal Clinical Assessment unit.

The new facility has been delivered to high specifications and includes a feature atrium, public artwork and bespoke zinc metal cladding. External works included car parking, drainage, and soft and hard landscaping.

The works also included the connections to statutory providers for foul and storm drains, incoming Electric, Gas, Water and Telecoms.
