Dawnus International Moves Into Senegal

Senegal

Dawnus are expanding their international operations, having secured a major new contract in Senegal.

The US$20m (£12m) project for Mineral Deposits Limited, will involve earthworks for a 25km road and rail project in support of the Grande Côte Project, a titanium and zircon mining operation. The project runs between the capital, Dakar, and St Louis.

The Dawnus team will be led by Mike Condon and Jim Cranfield, who will use the experience they gained on our logistics corridor project in Sierra Leone to successfully deliver the project.

The project will begin in January for 8 months, and the team will be working day and night to meet the project milestones.

As with our projects in Sierra Leone, Dawnus will be employing a local workforce in Senegal under fair trade conditions, and we will provide training to European standards in a variety of disciplines.

Dawnus will also be sending over 40 items of plant to Senegal, including bulldozers, excavators and dumpers.
