Overview
Current site progress is good. We are currently starting a new floor every week. This Wednesday (08/09/09) we are pouring the first half of the third floor. After this there will be one more concrete floor slab and then the remaining two storeys will be constructed from structural steel. This should start being erected at the end of the month.
Behind closed doors...
There are a number of different trades also working on site.
Currently the basement car park is being worked on, with areas of the permanent works being painted and finished.
Our Mechanical and Electrical Sub contractor is due to start at the beginning of next week to start constructing the services around the basement.
Excavations will also be due to start around the site’s perimeter next week to allow the building to be connected to Southampton’s main services including Southampton’s District Heating and Cooling system. |
