This project was procured under a two stage tender process and includes a two-storey extension to the existing Technology Department, refurbishment of the existing Greenhill School, providing new classrooms, stores, toilets, circulation links, reception area and offices.
The new build construction is of composite concrete slabs on steel frame, with steel frame roof. Covered with insulated render and high-pressure laminate panels to walls and polyester powder coated aluminium sheet roofs.
Existing walls to the Technology Block have been covered with insulated render and existing roofs recovered with insulated single-ply polyester reinforced membrane. Polyester powder coated double glazed windows and doors, together with the upgrade and partial replacement of internal doors. External works include new car parking, road widening works, erection of pedestrian safety fencing, hard and soft landscaping.All work was carried out whilst the school remained fully operational. |
