Surestart Facility, St Ives, Cornwall
Construction of a new 'Surestart' Facility, which encompasses a nursery and community meeting venue, with crèche facilities, community advice and liaison areas and facilities for visiting doctors and dentists.
The 520m2 single storey building is constructed in blockwork clad in STO render and cedar boarding with insulation behind. Roofs are single ply membrane with Clerestory windows either side with a central valley gutter. External doors, windows, screens and clerestory windows comprise polyester powder coated aluminium. The building is fully services and fitted out to provide nursery and community use.
External works include play areas, paving, ramps, earthworks, drainage, and a new disabled car parking area has been provided at the top of the existing roadway. |
