ECI Contract under NEC Option C to construct a new 32m clear span plate girder aqueduct, on piled abutments, to carry the Neath canal over the river Neath at Resolven.
The aqueduct, the largest of its type constructed in the UK, is 1.3m deep and 7m wide to incorporate pedestrian footpaths on both sides.
The benefit of being in an ECI scheme enabled us to liaise with the Environment Agency well in advance of the works in order to gain approvals for our proposed temporary works. |
