Our OHSAS 18001 Accredited Health and Safety Management System contains all the policies and procedures necessary to enable us to conduct our operations in a safe manner. In addition our organisation holds several SSIP accreditations including CHAS and EXOR, which help satisfy our Clients that our systems and performance are regularly monitored against current industry practise.
Our policy of direct employment, training and development of staff and workforce also support a very strong safety culture within Dawnus. This is underpinned by consultation at all levels through safety forums, with regional safety champions participating at the executive level forum to capture feedback and drive improvements.
In order to ensure we remain abreast of latest developments, legislation, best practise and initiatives we maintain memberships of several safety groups including RoSPA, Working Well Together, South Wales Safety Construction Group and the South Wales Safety Awareness Forum.
In the last 2 years we have received 3 RoSPA Gold Awards.
Our health and safety performance forms one of our key performance indicators and we are pleased to report that we have never had a fatal or major accident and that our RIDDOR 3 Day Incident rate has improved year on year since 2009.
