Our aspiration to play a leading role in Sustainable Development is stated within our Sustainability Policy and our Corporate Social Responsibility Policy and is monitored through our Key Performance Indicators and Company Objectives.

The company will strive for continuous improvement in our methods of promoting sustainable development and in particular will pursue excellence in the following key objectives:

  • Operating as a regional contractor, employing locally and using a sustainable local supply chain to benefit the communities in which we and our employees live.
  • Employing staff and workforce locally under equal opportunity conditions and committing to long-term education and training within the workplace
  • Pursuing our commitment to Halve Construction Waste to Landfill by 2012
  • Focusing our procurement process on the use of reused, recycled or sustainable sources of material and research and propose sustainable alternatives wherever possible
  • Seeking to promote sustainable designs and advise clients on the likely carbon emissions of completed buildings/facilities, for example by promoting BREEAM and CEEQUAL standards
  • Managing construction operations to minimise carbon emissions, including information exchange and storage, site accommodation, plant, materials, transport, personnel and travel based on local sourcing and employment
  • Interacting and engaging with local communities both on organisational and project team level through training, sponsorship, charitable and community initiatives
