Fitter Foreman - Swansea based
The role will entail assisting the Plant Manager in planning work, methods and resources along with Plant servicing, the allocation of Fitters to plant breakdowns and associated works.
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
• Civil engineering experience including roadworks, earthworks and highway structures
• Good working knowledge of modern plant equipment
• Ability to manage and put direct labour and sub-contractors to work
• Proven technical and working knowledge on modern plant and transport equipment
• Ability to communicate with suppliers/dealers
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, and understanding of competence requirements for production tasks
• IT proficient
Planner – Sierra Leone
We are seeking a Planner with the ability to deliver the Tender and Construction Programs, progress reports and other supporting information (KPIs) required to be produced by the Planning Department to set delivery dates.
Key responsibilities will involve:
• Managing the production and maintenance of a fully integrated master program for the project
• Managing the production and maintenance of individual section programs
• Providing senior management with progress, impacted programmes and analysis reports
• Monitoring the performance of external parties (such as designers)
• Managing the production and maintenance of plant, labour, staff and materials histograms/schedules
• Liaising with Client’s Planning Department with regards to progress and programme submissions
• Ensuring site teams and functional departments receive regular progress updates
• Working closely with all functions to ensure input, knowledge and buy-in to their parts of the overall programme
• Developing relationships with external parties to ensure their input, knowledge and buy-in to their parts of the overall programme
• Developing the planning function to bring continued improvement to the services provided to the project(s)
Senior /Project Quantity Surveyor – West Midlands
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor from a civil engineering background with building experience, for our recently opened office in Bromsgrove, covering the West Midlands area.
Reporting to our Commercial Manager, you will actively assist our Project Manager in estimating in addition to commercial management of schemes.
The suitable candidate will be comfortable working with various forms of contract independently, degree educated with a minimum of 8 years experience.
Quality Systems Manager - Swansea Based
The person will be expected to competently manage and coordinate the Dawnus Business Management System, maintain current accreditations and have a strategic overview for continuous improvement and development of the System.
You will monitor and advise on the performance of the Business Management system and produce data and report on performance, measuring against set indicators advising Company Directors on areas of non- compliance and improvement.
Responsibilities will include;
• Maintaining the internal audit programme
• Liaising with the 3rd Party Certification Body and/or other registration bodies, such as Linkup, and facilitation management reviews of the system(s)
• Advise management on all relevant aspects of quality management matters
• Strategic overview of the Dawnus Business Management system.
• Development of improvements and initiatives to the Dawnus system to reflect changing industry best practice or changes in standards and legislation.
• Roll-out change to Dawnus project teams as and when appropriate.
• Advise project teams on procedures and / or best practice in quality management
• Assist in developing a culture of continuous improvement
• Carry out audits / assessments on site activities including subcontractors and suppliers on a regular scheduled basis
• Co-ordinate, review and approve (where appropriate) and arrange closing out all internally and externally generated corrective action requests (CARs) arising out of audits
• Manage the capture of outputs from the management processes to provide data for pre-qualification and tender opportunities.
• Ensure documents prepared on site comply with legislation / contract requirements
• Support pre-tender team with responses to pre-qualification questions on Quality and Business Systems.
• Support tender teams with Quality Management documents, responses to Client questions and attend tender interviews / presentations where required.
We will be looking for the following skills and abilities;
Essential:
• IRCA Lead Auditor trained
• Experience in drafting management systems procedures and associated documentation
• Good working knowledge and experience, as a Quality or Systems Manager within the Construction industry, of standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001
• Competent with MS suite of programs, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc
• Good communication skills with experience of producing and delivering presentation documents
Preferable:
• Member of Chartered Quality Institute
• Experience of presenting QM systems to clients at project bid stage, and working as part of a bid team
• Previous experience of using design software for process mapping procedures
and producing flowcharts i.e. MS Visio
Other Requirements:
• Full valid driving licence
• Willing to travel which may involve overnight stays away from home, including possible overseas travel.
