Project Overview

These projects have all been completed under a Design and Construct contract, with Dawnus selecting our own design team and developing the scheme from the planning approved drawings at RIBA Stage D, with bespoke store arrangements for each site.

Lidl Bodmin: A new 15,100ft2 store with warehousing, on the site of the old police station in Bodmin. This project required us to create a plateau for construction with 5m high retaining walls and 5000m3 of excavation and disposal.

Lidl Bristol: A new 18,600ft2 store within an existing building. This project included internal demolition works, construction of the new building shell and fit-out of the store. Externally we refurbished the existing car park.

Lidl Newport: Design and build of a 13563ft2 Lidl supermarket with back of house facilities and car park. The retail outlet was built in an existing retail park, adjacent to other live retail outlets.

Lidl Salisbury: This 18,000ft2 store was built on a brownfield site in Salisbury, with restricted access to the rear of the building, which adjoins adjacent retail premises.

Lidl Tavistock: Design and construction of a new 14,200ft2 supermarket including associated car parking and access.

Lidl Woolwell: This 17,500ft2 store was constructed on a sloping site with difficult access. The project included significant retaining walls to create the site area, along with extensive external works.
