Project Overview

This high profile public realm and improvements project was for the reconstruction of the existing bus and railway station in Rhyl town centre to improve the layout for buses and taxis, and improve access and enhance the visual appearance of the area for the general public.

Particular requirements included maintaining access to the general public, limiting parking restrictions and minimising disruption to surrounding businesses and the taxi ranks.

The project was awarded as two phases; we were initially awarded the contract for ECI duties where we helped develop the design, programme and budget to suit the Client’s requirements.

Upon completion we delivered the construction phase of the project which involved remodelling the existing bus terminal and railway station frontage together with approach, egress routes and car parking facilities, installation of a new drainage system, kerbing and paving, road improvements and reconstruction, installation of new bus shelters and furniture, CCTV masts and associated electrical circuits along with extensive landscaping.
